TYPES OF GYNECOLOGICAL CANCER
Gynecologic cancer is any type of cancer that starts in a womans reproductive organs, it can happen from anywhere from the cervix or even the uterus. Our Dr. Ali Ekiz will inform you all about the types of gynecological cancer that may occur to any woman in this post.
A womans reproductive system has the uterus, fallopian tube, ovary, vagina, vulva and the cervix. The first type of cancer we will inform you about is cervical cancer.
CERVICAL CANCER
Usually all women over the age of 30 are at risk of developing cervical cancer. A long lasting infection with some certain types of HPV is usually the main cause of cervical cancer. For those who dont know what HPV is, basically HPV is a sexually transmitted disease passed to a person to the other during sexual intercourse.
Cervical cancer can sometimes show no symptoms but in some cases bleeding after sexual intercourse and unusal vaginal discharge can be seen. İf you had an encounter with any of these symptoms it is best to check in with a specialist doctor.
OVARIAN CANCER
The ovaries are located on each side of a womens uterus, they produce eggs and two very important hormones known as estrogen and progestrone. İn some cases some women might get ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer comes in many types but but the most common type is adenocarcinoma, another very common subtype of ovarian cancer can also be called as serous adenocarcinoma, this subtype is a high agressive type of tumor that will cause some complications.

UTERINE CANCER
The uterus which is also called the womb is the place where a baby grows during a womans pregnancy, therefore making it a very important organ. The risk of getting uterine cancer increases with age, especially after menopause.
Some symptoms of uterine cancer can be vaginal discarge, bleeding which is not normal and especially bleeding after menopause.
